MIDI is a technical standard that describes a communication protocol, digital interface, and electrical connectors that connect a wide variety of electronic musical instruments, computers, and related audio devices for playing, editing, and recording music.

I use MIDI to synchronise Clock Signals between my different intruments, or to allow a Sequencer to control other instruments.

Thru Boxes

MIDI Solutions Quadra Thru
MIDI Solutions Quadra Thru.

I use the MIDI Solutions Quadra Thru to control multiple MIDI devices from the once sequencer. It splits the MIDI signal from one input into four separate outputs without requiring external power or adding any latency.

A highly reccommended no-fuss device that avoids the need to daisy chain MIDI connections.

Adaptors

Roland BMIDI-1-35
Roland BMIDI-1-35.

I use Roland’s BMIDI-1-35 and BMIDI-5-35 Adaptors to convert 5 MIDI plugs into a TRS connection for my Roland AIRA Devices. It is a Type A MIDI Adaptor.
